With enthusiasm the Paulding Exempted Character Academy (PECA), LifeWise Paulding Exempted and members of the community gathered on January 17th to celebrate an Open House and Ribbon Cutting of the new PECA Paulding Building.
The evening started at 5:00 p.m. with an Open House, where the community was invited to tour the new PECA Paulding building, which will serve as the home of the LifeWise Paulding Exempted Paulding Elementary, Junior High and High School programs. LifeWise Academy is a Released Time Religious Instruction program which provides character focused, Bible-based education to public school students.
The LifeWise Paulding Exempted program is currently serving over 560 students a week, allowing the students to hear the gospel shared in fun and interactive ways, while discussing the scriptures and learning of God’s love for them.
The PECA Paulding building would not have been possible without the generous donations of: Robert and Gretchen Noneman, Jason with Dangler Excavating, LLC, and Steve Sinn with Tri-County Roofing & Home Improvement. We want to thank Hartzog Construction and Remodeling for the beautiful building that they built and the time frame that they were able to finish the project, just in the nick of time to reach their goal! The Paulding County community has supported this building in big ways and small ways and PECA has only been able to complete its two buildings because of the community’s continued faith and support of our mission! Without each person working together and giving what they could this project would not be complete.
At 6:00 p.m. the PECA Board, LifeWise Paulding Exempted Board and staff, LifeWise Students/parents and members of the community gathered in front of the building to watch Amanda Andrews, LifeWise Paulding Exempted Paulding Elementary Teacher for 4 years, cut the ribbon on this spectacular 2300 square foot building.
We appreciate the unwavering commitment of our community and donors. If you would like to support the PECA ongoing expenses of the buildings in Paulding or Oakwood, please reach out to a PECA board member for more information.
