DEFIANCE, OH:
Linda L. Varner, age 84, formerly of Paulding, OH passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at CHP Inpatient Hospice, Defiance, OH.
Linda was born on November 7, 1940 in Paulding, OH to the late Galen and Florence (Lantz) Brewer. On November 28, 1958, she married Fred W. “Bill” Varner who preceded her in death in 2012.
Linda worked as an office manager for the Paulding County Engineer’s Office for 15 years and worked for attorney Harvey Hyman for many years as well. She was a member of the Paulding Eagles Aerie 2405 Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her sons, Rick (Karen) Varner, Paulding, OH and Randy (Sara) Varner, Defiance, OH; brother Terry Brewer, Defiance, OH; 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Linda was also preceded in death by her son, Ron Varner and grandson, Brett Varner; brother, Larry Brewer and sisters Nancy Eitniear and Susan Keeler.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at
Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, OH. Burial will be in Paulding Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Monday, February 10, 2025 and one hour prior to the services on Tuesday.
Memorial contributions may be made in Linda’s memory to a charity of the donor’s choice.
