Senior ace Elle Clem (#9) dazzled in the circle and at the plate Tuesday night, leading the Antwerp Varsity Archers to a 4–3 win over Hicksville in a well-fought home battle.

Clem pitched a complete game gem, striking out nine batters, walking none, and allowing just one earned run on four hits across seven innings. She was equally dominant with the bat, going a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate, including a double, and scoring two of the team’s four runs.

Antwerp (2–2) jumped ahead early with a two-run first inning and added insurance in the fifth and sixth. Hicksville made a late push with two runs in the seventh, but the Archers held firm to secure the win.

Freshman Taylor Hogans (#16) delivered under pressure, driving in two runs on a hit and a sacrifice fly. Senior Haydyn Lengacher (#4) chipped in with an RBI double, while senior Caroline Rohrs (#5) added another run-scoring hit.

Despite committing four errors, the Archers’ defense came up with critical outs, including shutting down Hicksville rallies in the middle innings. Hicksville’s A. Keeley pitched all six innings for the Aces, striking out nine and walking two while giving up eight hits.
