Oakwood Elementary kindergarten students sent letters to students in many states of the USA. They are now receiving letters in return from many students throughout the nation.
Oakwood Elementary art teacher, Mrs. Ann Marie Alderman, was able to purchase a weaving loom this summer for her students to use in art class at school. The students are enjoying this wonderful opportunity.
Oakwood Elementary hosted Grandparents’ Day on Monday, September 10th. Grandparents were invited to have breakfast with their grandchild and spend time reading books and performing activities together.

Students and their parents visited Grover Hill School Monday for open house. All schools in the Wayne Trace School District hosted open houses at their various campuses as a means of allowing students and their parents to get better acquainted with faculty and staff. Classes began Wednesday, Aug. 22 for the 2018-19 academic year.
Oakwood Kindergarten students meet with their teachers, Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Snyder at the park for a day of fun. They played games, read lots of bug books and made a worm to take home.
