Paulding & Oakwood Elem. Present “Viva la Musical”

In celebration of “Music in Our Schools Month” the 5th Grade choirs from Paulding and Oakwood Elementaries recently got together for combined “Viva la Musica!” concerts at both schools.  Holding the sign are (L-R) Sophia Booher and Eva Shull, (Oakwood 6th and 5th graders, respectfully) and Evelyn Reyes and Karli Breedlove (Paulding 5th graders).

D.A.R.E. Graduation

On April 18, 2019,   the Paulding County D.A.R.E. program had  DA.R.E. Graduation for the 5th graders of Oakwood Elementary. Each 5th grader received a certificate, medal, and t-shirt for completing the 12-week program. Also, during graduation essay winners were announced. Snap Circuit Day at Oakwood Elementary

The Oakwood Elementary fourth graders held their annual Snap Circuit Day as a wrap-up to the unit on electricity. Parents, grandparents, and aunts assisted the students as they built and learned about electric currents using Snap Circuit kits purchased through a Cooper Grant. The circuits lit up, played music and turned a fan.
